MyoBio60 | Private Training

Exercise works like an equation.

What are you asking your body to do? What is getting in the way? What kind of work changes that?

The Problem In Front Of You

The answer depends on the priority and the problem.

Golf asks something different of the body than cycling. You may want to get lean to ease the load on your knees, but the knee pain itself can make the exercise needed to get there harder.

Physical labor creates a different set of demands. Age, genetics, and old injuries change the equation again.

Different Demands

What you ask your body to do matters.

Older golfer with a prosthetic leg swinging a golf club

Golf

Golf asks for rotation, balance, control, and the ability to repeat the work for an entire round.

Older couple walking together through a park

Walking

Walking may mean distance, pace, hills, stairs, or simply being able to stay on your feet longer.

Older woman hiking in mountainous terrain

Hiking

Hiking adds climbs, descents, uneven ground, longer distances, and whatever you choose to carry.

Female construction worker using a drill on a job site

Physical Labor

Work can ask you to lift, carry, reach, brace, kneel, climb, and do it again for hours.

Part Of The Equation

Then there is the mental side of it.

“I don’t have time” means something different when the work takes five minutes.

“I can’t do that” may mean you have never been shown another way to do it.

Sometimes the problem is physical. Sometimes it is the plan. Sometimes it is the story you have already told yourself.

The problem changes, so the answer has to change with it.

MyoBio60 starts with what you want your body to do, what is getting in the way, and what work will make sense for that.
